Community First

Community Spirit

North Ryde Golf Club is an active supporter of the local community.  It relishes the opportunity to help or partner local sporting, educational and charitable groups in an effort to raise funds for the future sustainability of their organisation.

As part of the Club 6, together with North Ryde RSL, Ryde-Eastwood Leagues, Gladesville RSL and Ryde Ex-Servicemen’s, we strongly support the Ryde Sports Foundation, of which potential local sporting heroes are recognised and given assistance to fulfill their dreams.

The Club 6 movement also considers local issues, their impact on the people and how Club 6 can support the community.  It is our role to support those who support us.

Environmental Awareness

North Ryde Golf Club is environmentally friendly and conscious.  We have developed and implemented plans to reduce the overall potable water usage and carbon emissions of the Club.

The Club has prepared a Water Savings Action Plan initiated by the State Government through the Department of Energy, Utilities and Sustainability.  This has given the Club an educated insight into corporate water usage and what is required to help our national potable water shortage.

North Ryde Golf Club is currently undergoing a major project to secure the future supply of water for irrigable purposes.  The Club’s goal is to become self-sufficient through sewer mining, the process of recycling sewerage to a quality above potable water.  Also, we were one of the first clubs in NSW to install waterless woks (pictured at left).  By the year 2010 the Club will have reduced its potable water usage from 81ML (y.e. 31 Mar 2003) to approximately 3ML.

The Club’s objective is to supersede electrical equipment with energy efficient replacements.  This succession plan is due to be completed by 2012.

North Ryde Golf Club can make a difference.  North Ryde Golf Club has always put you and the community first!!
