Women’s Presentation Day Thursday:A fantastic end of year celebration, with 106 members attending with some lovely raffle prizes drawn on the day. The field of golfers with their one club, one putter excelled. Our front 9 winners were Pauline Beatty and Sue Holden with runners up Marcia Nash and Jan Gorman. Back 9 winners were Susan Chim and Sonia Flores with runners up Ellen Wong and Sonia Flores.
The best dressed team were Robyn Hanlon, Pat Phillips, Janet Moffat and Betty Severino.
The many golf awards from the year were presented with photos taken of our smiling winners able to attend. There will be links to photos on the members page within the next week.
Presentation Day was also the 70th Wedding Anniversary of long term Members Una and Don Flanagan. Una stilled joined in the fun of Presentation Day and I am sure will continue to Celebrate with Don and family for this very special Wedding Anniversary – Congratulations to you both!

Women Veterans’ Notes
Our Veteran’s Party Day was a great success once again, everyone appeared to be having fun with lots of chatter & laughter. The tables were beautifully decorated by the office and bar staff. The caterers were put to the test & passed, I enjoyed the fish meal.
I would like to thank everyone who donated a prize for the raffle, there were some lovely gifts and to all who purchased a raffle ticket.
I thank all the Veteran Members for their support over the last 14 years, it has been a privilege to have been your Delegate.
And lastly, I give a big thank you to Cheryl Ward my treasurer, she did a great job by keeping records of all the money received, balancing the books, & doing the banking as well as shopping for the hampers.
At the AGM of the North Ryde Women Veterans also on Thursday, 21 November 2024. Marlene Peters, Delegate & Cheryl Ward, Treasurer resigned from the Ladies Veterans Committee.
An election was held for a new delegate & treasurer, which was filled.
Congratulations to Barbara Evennett for taking on the delegate’s roll & Jacky Parsons will be our new Treasurer; Carmel Hughes will remain as a committee member.

2024 Presentation Night Business Women Members
On Friday, 22 November North Ryde Golf Club hosted the annual presentation for the Business Women Members.
Due to prior commitments only about 10 of the regular players were able to attend, however we were fortunate to have Eve Sheppard, the Women’s President and Lynn Wells, the Women’s Captain, join us. It was a very festive occasion with Margaret Feltham winning the Lucky Door Prize.
Various trophies and prizes were presented over the evening for a range of competitions, some of which have very specific eligibility criteria.
